Hi Yall,
I just wanted to drop you this note to let you know a few things...

1. I know it's been awhile since I last posted, and I'm sorry about that, I just keep forgetting to post what with my busy schedule and all...

2. Starting at the end of August I will be starting my Cosmetology Training so that should be fun...I put updates and things going on with that while I can.

3. If you've posted a comment, and was wishing for a reply (mainly to the person who left a comment last week about the Coffee dye) Blogger is not letting my post comments right now...whenever I try it doesn't work, so Please E-mail me your questions... @ raebyuel@gmail.com and I will do my best to answer them...

Jewelry Box Palette by Tarte

I got this palette for Christmas, and I LOVE IT! It's a great palette to travel w/because of all it has to offer. Eyeshadows (matte and shimmer) Lip Colores, Highlight color, Bronzer, and Eyeliners...Only thing you need to furnish is Mascara and foundation. So you only need to take 3 things w/you plus brushes! I mean how can you beat that?

You can do all sorts of looks with this palette! You can do neutral, everyday looks, with some of the more subdued colors. But you can also shake things up w/the great greens, purples, blues, and pinks the palette has to offer.

There are regular and shimmer eyeliner pencils, and the highlight and bronzer work really good to. I haven't used the lip colors yet, since I'm not that into lip glosses and things. (I'm more of your chapstick or clear gloss kind of girl)

All in All, I would say this was a must have product!!!! 5/5

Ok, a few months ago I was on the look out for a new mineral foundation because the one I had been using was making me dry and flaky....Not something you really want!! So I started asking around, and I heard about The All Natural Face's mineral foundations...So I ordered a sample, and I fell in love!!!

This is what I suggest:

All Natural Face Eyeshadows

Alright ladies,

I've been using All Natural Face's mineral eyeshadows now for a couple of months now. Actually their Antique Copper is my everyday color!! I love this color...

They have great pigment, and are a really smooth quality! And when paired with the All Natural Face eyeshadow primer, they last all day long!!!! (Check out my review here)

There are 35 matte colors, and 18 shimmer colors!!!!

I would give these a 4 out of 5!!!

Quick Nail Fix

Have you ever been on your way to a wedding or some type of party? And you just painted you nails...and it peels? And you search but can't find your top coat, or the nail polish you used, to do a touch up?

Well my mom had this problem on the way to a wedding in Alabama...Her polish peeled, but it didn't completely come off. We had no nail polish or anything in the car. All I had was hair spray for a quick touch up for our hair.
So I was thinking...If hair spray can keep your hair in place, why not your nail polish?

How to do this:

1: Spray some under the peeled section of polish.
2: Push section down lightly
3: Do a light coat of Spray over top.
4:Let dry, and enjoy!

This is not a permanent fix...This is just a few hours...Long enough for you to have fun!

I Dyed my hair with COFFEE

Yes you read that correctly...Coffee... But I was pretty bad...I didn't take any before and after pictures...so you'll just have to trust what I say :)

This is how I did it...

*I did wash my hair right before I did this, because I had been swimming a lake earlier, and I wanted it to be going on a clean surface...

1: Have about 3-4 cups of room temperature coffee

2: I added a splash of Vanilla extract, to cut back on the coffee sent (optional)

3: Douse your hair about 15 times with a cup, in the coffee.

4: Let it sit on your hair for at least 30 min...(can do more if you want it to be darker)

*Don't wrap your hair in a towel, because the towel will soak up the coffee, instead of your hair :)

5:Rinse your hair, until your water runs clear.

You don't have to condition your hair, because the coffee is it's own conditioner...My hair feels SOOO soft! and shiny!

My hair is already a dark brown, but I have noticed that lately it is getting even darker, so my roots are 2-3x's darker than my ends. Causing my hair to look greasy/oily...NOT a pretty sight, when you know it's clean! So now my ends are pretty much the same color as my roots, and my whole head is Shiny and soft.

Would I do this again?

For dying my hair? No, because my hair is already so dark, that it didn't do that much to it...unless I need to quickly dye my ends to match my roots. don't get me wrong it worked!

For a deep Conditioning Treatment? MOST DEFINITELY!

Hair types this will most likely work the best on:

Blonde's, who want a quick change, that doesn't cost a lot of money, and isn't more chemicals going on your already bleached hair (the latter for the ones who've dyed it blonde)

It'll work fantastically for you!

P.S. I'll let y'all know how fast it washes out!

Homemade Strawberry Blemish-Busting Cleanser

This week's edition of Woman's World had this great article in it..."Summer Fruits for Fabulous skin!" And this went right along with the Cosmetology Camp I was at this past week...I have some recipes from that to share with y'all too! So stay tuned!

I wanted to share the recipes with y'all.

What you'll need:

6 whole strawberries

3 Tbs witch hazel

2 Tbs almond or jojoba oil (neither clog pores)

1. Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

2. Pour into a bottle with a tight-fitting lid and store in the fridge

3. to cleanse, massage over face with gentle circular motions.

4. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.

~ keep for 2-3 weeks if stored in fridge.

Eye Primer in Dark Buff

The All Naturla Face = One of my new favorite makeup companies! I absolutly love their products! There isn't anything I don't like yet...And I've officially tried quit abit! But this posting is about the Eye Primer!

Pros:

1) It's a really smooth formula,

2)Goes on GREAT!

3)Not oily (unlike too face shadow insurance)

4)Makes your shadow last for a LONG time!

5)Great Price @ only $3.00 (and you get a TON!)

Cons:

1)The only thing I would have to say was a con for this eye primer would be that it's a tad dark for me! But I cover it up with Shadow...so no one knows that :) so it's not really a con :)

I can't wait to try out her other colors! (I think she has 3 in all)

Finding 'The' Easter Dress!

Judy Garland & Fred Astair In Easter Parade....Don't you just love her dress? White all over with just a hint of color with the Gloves?!?!

My search for 'the' Easter Dress this year was alright...Personally I'm short enough that it's not that hard for me to find one that comes to the middle of my knee or below (personal standard ladies) But my sister on the other hand...Wasn't so lucky! She has the long legs in the family and every dress she tried on was either too big (she's a skinny girl) or too short! Talk about Stressful! We finally found one at Belk for her....Not one that she would have necessarily of picked herself...but cute just the same!

After finding the Dress...It's time for accessories! My Dress is a Black & White Polka Dot (large polka dots) dress...and on Easter I prefer more color than that...So I found a bright Yellow Belt for it!!! (Love this) and some yellow earrings...I'm not much of a jewelry wearer but I needed some more yellow...I Really wanted Yellow Heels for this dress too...but I couldn't find any...I found a really cute pair of yellow stilettos (matched the belt perfectly) but they were above my 'high level' (another personal standard)

This is a good idea of what my dress looks like minus the rose....(I paint shopped in the Yellow belt :)

My Thoughst on the Product:
Covers well, and a good price. Now I've heard reviews of how this was a great product, but not for me. When I first started using it (like 1st couple of times) it was fine. But then I noticed that it started making my face feel dry, and tight. Not what you want... But I continued to use it, because I had paid for it. (I didn't want to waste any) And now I've talked to some friends of mine that have used it, and they say the same thing. So needless to say, I wont be buying this brand again.

I give it a 2/5 (only b/c of the price and cover)

Review: Mark's That's Deep Cleanser

Recently, I have switched to Mark's face wash regimen. I'm still in the process of getting everything the skin line has to offer, right now, I have the cleanser, moisturizer, and some hook-ups on the way. But today's Review is on the cleanser!

that's deep-Purifying gel cleanser:

If you’re a total clean freak then try this super-fresh, soap-free cleanser blended with sugar maple and black willow bark. It goes right to work to banish dirt, oil and other cloggers. Skin feels fresh, fabulous and ready to face the world.

oil-free • non-comedogenic • fragrance-free .
Super ingredients: sugar maple & black willow bark
Best for: blemishes & blackheads
What is it?:it's a soap-free cleanser
How Much?: $8, and it lasts you 2-3 months at the least, depending on how much you use @ a time.
My thoughts:This Face wash is pretty cool. It leaves your skin feeling soft, and not as tight as other cleansers with Salicylic Acid or Benzoyl Peroxide do.
Personally, I have oily skin, and larger pores(which cause the extra oil :( ) But my breakouts are not regular....it's more of a once in awhile type of thing. I was getting tired of having to use harsh products like the Acid/Peroxide on my face, so I started looking around for something more natural. And that's when my Aunt started selling AVON/mark. So I started looking into their product, and liked what I saw, and asked for samples...and I LOVED IT!

How To use this Cleanser:
Dampen Face with warm water. Squeeze a small amount onto hand and rub in circular motions on your face, until it begins to lather. Then rinse it off.

Skin MD Natural -Product Review/Giveaway!

One Day Earlier this Month (The beginning) I received an e-mail, asking if I would like to get a free full size bottle of Skin MD Natural Lotion to try and review...and I said, 'sure why not?' right? Free Product, and all I had to do was write a review later on.....

At first I was unsure if I personally wanted to put it on my skin...Lately, I've been having some skin problems...I've been getting these really weird dry patches all of a sudden showing up! (I have sensitive skin.) so I was hesitant...and then I thought..what could I loose, I'll end up with red blotches for a little bit until it works out....Wait, I'm already blotchy from my dry skin patches. hehe...Well I read the back of the bottle, and it says to use ever 6-8 hours until skin's moisture level improves then every 12-24 hours, And guess what...2 weeks later using this lotion morning and night...and any time I get out of the shower, or find a dry patch. They have disappeared! It's a great lotion, it goes on easily, and it doesn't leave you skin all oily and slimy like other lotions. I LOVE this lotion..and I'm going to keep on using it!!!

What did you Get/Do for The Holidays?

Hi y'all,

This year for Christmas, I got an electric blanket! and it's a good thing that I did, because yesterday it snowed....here in GEORGIA! can you believe it? It was freezing! So I'm supper excited about that one!

I got some Awesome clothes...I'll have to post them! I got 2 sweater dresses....I'll never wear them as dresses, but they look great with jeans and my boots! :) Along with the sweaters, I got great pj's, which I've been needing...recently (with in the last year and a half) I've gone from a size 12 to a size 4/6....so a lot of my Boxer short pj bottoms where tooooooo big. lol, but not anymore....i've got some knew ones!

And then I got money/gift cards....i've only spent some of it, and guess what it was on! MAKEUP! I had a great time shoppin with my Sis-in-law @ Ulta, and got some great things....and 1 of them was/is an eyeshadow palette, and that is going in my giveaway drawer...awaiting my 50+ followers giveaway!

My Brother and his family came to town the sunday after Christmas....Which made for a GREAT New Years...and a loud one, their little one is only 20 months...but it was awesome being able to play with my nephew!

I've worn by itself, under my makeup, and on top of, and it all works! and it makes your skin feel so smooth!

I definitely give this a 10 out of 10!

Finally! My ELF Haul!

Ok, so This has been in my 'Reviews' Tab for awhile now...but I'm finally getting around to it!
(Keep In Mind, this is my own personal opinion of the products I've purchased.)

Here's A Photo of how the products where shipped to me, and arrived.

What I Ordered:

-A Full Set of Brushes (Came w/ab 12)

-Eyeshadows...(9 of them)

-Eyeliners (3)

-Translucent Powder

-Shimmer Pallet

-Oil Blotting Sheets

-Blush

1)The Brushes- I got the cheaper end of brushes from their site...For being $1 each they aren't bad, I've had/seen better, but if your just starting out, and don't have a lot of money...then these will work fine.

I did get one of their Studio Brushes, and I love it! Now these are more expensive...but still are not a bad price.

2)The Eyeshadows- Again, not bad for being $1, there is one shade that has like no pigment to it...what I mean is that when I swatched it on my finger, there was hardly any color there. But with the rest it was surprising! (1 of these will be in the giveaway)

3)Eyeliners- They say these are creamy and wont tug on your eye....That's not true...I do not recommend buying their eyeliners....it takes quite a few strokes to get any color to show up.

4)Translucent Powder- This was actually bought by my mom...And she LOVES it! she keeps it in her purse and she highly recommends this product. She says its a nice light powder that takes away your shine....

5)Shimmer Palette- I love this, it has about 5 different colors, and It works good for highlighting your Cheeks! (It does crease when put on the lids....this can be used for cheeks, eyes, and lips) I haven't used it on my lips yet...but I will let you know later on.

6) Oil Blotters!-love, love, love these...they are life savers to me. I keep them in my purse and use them whenever my face gets too shiny (which happens to be basically all the time) so these are a must have for any one with an oily face!

7)Blush- I got their blush called Shy...And It's a really pretty pink....but it is pink, and I know not everyone loves pink, but yeah. Its a nice blush, and I can't wait to get a few more!

Now their sizes are not huge but for the price you're paying, I wasn't expecting it to be huge...but you do get a lot of product for what you pay...and over all I like e.l.f. and I will be getting more from them!

Glam'eyes Mascara Review

Howdy Folks!

I've had this review up to do for a while now, and I have my ELF yet to do (can't wait!)

I absolutely love this Mascara!!!! It makes my lashes nice and dark....and thick!!! I personally don't have to worry about length...so I go for the volume type mascaras, and normally the black color as well.

The Wand is a plastic comb...and it goes back and forth with a 3 row and a 2 row (sections with 3 rows of 'comb teeth' and then 2 rows of slightly longer)
So If your looking for a mascara that will make your lashes 'pop'....then I suggest Trying Rimmel's Glam'eyes Mascara!

On my scale, I would say this product was a 9 out of 10!

Ok Y'all, this is my first product review really, and I know you probably have other sites that you go to, to see what a product is like, but I hope that you will eventually come to my site as well to see my take on a product(s).

Review of Rimmel's Stay Matte Foundation:

A Couple of weeks ago, I went to Ulta, and bought Stay Matte Rimmel Foundation to try it. I usually can only use mineral makeup because of how oily my skin is, when I use liquid my face is shiny almost instantly and it always feels like it will just run off. But this Stay Matte Foundation Hasn't done any of this, In fact, I can put it on and my face will stay Matte for at least 10 hours (except for the normal amount of shine that comes from being in the heat, or just regular oil releasing from the skin...but you are basically Matte :), I have never had to wear it for a full 12 hrs, which is how long the bottle says it will keep your face flawless and shine-free.

When You put it on, it feels more like a tinted moisturizer than a foundation. And keeps your face feeling nice and soft.

I Personally am the Ivory, and it matches my skin tone almost perfectly...now if I happen to get a tone in one section, you can see it....I just have to blend it a bit more! I Hope this Review Helps you, and possibly persuades you to buy it.

I Recommend this Foundation and give it a 81/2 out of 10 on my charts....

A Heads up on Review + Giveaway

I'm Supper Excited!!! My E.L.F. shipment came in today, along with an order I put in to ULTA!
I have some pictures of everything, but I need to get them uploaded, but I wanted to let you know that a review is definitely on the way!!! I can't wait to use everything that I bought....I was just testing the pigment of the eyeshadows from elf...and They all had really good pigment, the only one I might complain about was the truly pink, it did show up that well on my finger even after I rubbed my finger on it a couple of times...so that one will take a lot more work to get it to show up.

I'm In the process of collecting things for my first blog giveaway...so tell your friends, once I hit 50+ Followers, I'm doing a giveaway....

Got Damaged Hair? And You don't want to spend $20 or more for a damage friendly Shampoo and Conditioner? Well I have a helpful hint!

1> Use Non-foaming face wash!!!! Yes I said Face wash... Now why would I be saying face wash? Because it doesn't contain the detergents found in lathering shamoos, so it won't damage your hair. And Guess WHAT! They actually used to wash babies' hair with it in the hopsitals! SO if it safe for your babies hair then It's good for yours....

Now if you have oily hair, just work the cleanser into your hair, and rinse....If you have dry hair, work the cleanser into your hair, and then follow up with a rich conditioner.

Making Your Eyeshadow Last!

I know that here in the South, on hot days and such...that your eyeshadow can crease...and does so quite often. Ever Wonder how to stop that?

1: Buy some Eye Primer...You can get eye Primer from most Makeup Lines...Some of my favorites...

> Two Face Primer- Shadow Insurance....@ Sephora $17 or @ Ulta $17 (right now(9/09) get $3.50 off any $10 Purchase using code. 28166)

>Urban Decay-Primer Potion...@ Sephora $17-$22 or @ Ulta $17

>Micabella Eye Primer (this one lasts 4ever..but not cheap!! $44.95 Yicks!)

2: Can't afford to Get a Primer? Or just run out? Have no fear, for a quick use, get out your Lip Balm!

>Glide on a little lip balm- the thick waxy kind that comes in a stick...not the gel you get in a jar...put over your lids like a normal primer, and add your eyeshadow....

>I do suggest getting a good eye primer...but I understand if you have to save for it, or you forgot to get some last time you were in town, and now your out!

I've Been thinking, and I know I have a hard time with my own Beauty Budget, and I thought...I bet other's are too...So Over the next few days, I'll be posting different Tricks for saving your wallet, and Helping you In a pinch! One's that Have helped me, and others that I've been hearing about from other people!

Useful Trick #1:

Clean Your Brushes....

If Your anything like me, (and are new to the makeup scene) You may not have known that you are supposed to wash your brushes every week...and use a brush cleaning spray everyday, to cut back on bacteria! So I want to tell you my/woman's world's sercret to doing this on a budget!

Your Everyday cleaning...

right now I use Sephora's Brush spray...just their mini one...it's about $6! Not bad...Clinique has a large bottle for about $13 I think. It doesn't take much for this....

> Spray Directly on Bristles...then Wipe off on a clean/old fluffy towel, and do this till your make up is no longer on there make sure to put all the bristles together....then either hang upside down to dry, or set them on a towel, with the bristles hanging off the end,(this helps them to dry faster, and not send water to the glue end of your brush)

Weekly Cleaning...

There are a couple of ways to do this!

1: Use EVOO(extra virgin olive oil) on a paper towel folded in half 2 times. And rub your brushes into it, you will see the dirt on the towel...once done, rinse with warm water...Then take a sponge, wet it with the warm water, add a squirt of Baby shampoo to the sponge, and swirl your brushes thoroughly (this is to get the oil out of your brushes) wipe off with a fluffy/old towel. then either hang upside down or on the towel until dry.

^This will also soften any of your bristles that happen to be a tad stiff.

2: Get a Face wash (make sure it has nothing extra in it...like anything for acne...) and do the same thing as you would with the baby shampoo, but skipping the oil step. Since the face wash already has the things for removing makeup in it, it will clean your brushes in no time!!! then wipe off, and either hang upside down or hanging slightly off a towel.

Short-to-medium length hair, especially with wave or roundness around the face. Wispy bangs will soften the angular shape. Off-center parts with height at the crown look great on square faces. If your hair is straight, you may want to consider a body wave, as some curl or wave to the hair will achieve a nice balance to the straight features of your face shape.
Avoid
Long straight styles that accentuate the square jawbone. "Linear" straight bangs or center parts aren't the best choice. A straight bob ending at the jaw line is the wrong thing to do for your face shape. You can wear a layered bob, however it should end above or below the jaw line, not at the jaw. Make sure in styling that you achieve some roundness to the shape and some height at the crown or bangs, and you will be on the right track.

Fullness at side of ears also accentuates the round shape. A rounded haircut ending at the chin will certainly add weight to your already round face shape. Because the widest part of your face is at the cheeks and ears, you need to avoid having the fullness of the cut here, as it will make your face appear wider. Try
Styles with short to medium lengths. Fullness at the sides of your face and wispy bangs soften the look of longer face shapes. You'll want to balance the look of a long and slender face. Soft wispy bangs will shorten the appearance of the length. Fullness at the sides of your face will add width to the look of your face shape.
By cutting the hair into a short or medium length, the outline of the cut will also shorten the look of the length of the face. Layers work great with your face shape, as they will add softness to the straight lines in your face. Try side parts, and you may be able to wear straight back styles.
Avoid
Too much hair length . . . this will make your face will look even longer! Too much height lengthens your face. Center parts look great on people with a rectangular or oblong face shape. When your hair grows past your shoulders, there is a good chance it is doing you more harm than good. The models with rectangular face shapes and long hair get by with it only because they have an "on call" hairdresser. This professional is at the models disposal and can usually be found busily primping and teasing, setting and styling to add fullness to the hair. Since most of us don’t have this luxury, my suggestion is keep it above shoulder length.

What Is Right for your Face Shape?

Not Sure what Hairstyle is right for your Face Shape? Or what Kind of Bangs you should have? Or Are you unsure what Face Shape you are?

To find out the shape of your face, measure it with a tape measure or ruler. You will take the following measurements.
1. Measure your face across the top of your cheekbones. Write down the measurement on a piece of paper.
2. Measure across your jaw line from the widest point to the widest point. Write down the measurement.
3. Measure across your forehead at the widest point. Generally the widest point will be somewhere about halfway between your eyebrows and your hairline. Write down the measurement.
4. Measure from the tip of your hairline to the bottom of your chin.

THE SHAPES:
Oval Face - Length equal to one and a half times width.
Round Face - Your face is as wide as it is long. This may vary a little but generally the measurement is close.
Oblong - Longer than it is wide.
Heart - Narrow at jaw line, wide at cheekbones/and or forehead.
Square - your face is about as wide as it is long.
Diamond - Widest at cheekbones, narrow forehead and jaw line of approximately equal widths.

Need Volume?

Does Your Hair just hang straight Down? Close to Your Head? Do you want to get some Volume???? Well, Keep Reading for some tips!

What You need:

-Your Favorite Type of Thickening Product....

-Hair Spray

-Blow Dryer

-Round Bores Brush, or A Flat Brush (Make sure that it's not solid....>Like this one)

& A Fine Tooth Comb

-Flat Iron

How To get Volume in Your Hair:

Step 1: Run a small Dab (Around Pea Size) of Thickening Product through Wet Strands. Working on the area that You want volume in.

step 2: Take Brush, and Blow Dryer, And Blow Dry Strands Forward (This will give you volume, when you flip them back.) When your Done you should look like a puff ball, to an extent.

Step 3: Straighten Your Hair, the way you Like it (Straight, Flip out on the sides ext.)

Step 4: Take Fine Tooth Comb, and Start At the Crown of your Head (where you want the most volume) and Take a section, and gently Tease your hair, and then spray the teased part w/Hair Spray. And Flip it forward...Repeat this till you are finished with the parts you want to have more volume.

Step 5: Put the hair in place...(so flip sections back, and put right where you want it....) Do one final Spray, just to set the top...And Wa-La!

Hey Y'all!!

I was checking out Makeupgeek Again, and I saw how she had a look based on Skittles, during her "Candy Inspired" time. So I tried it out, and It was awesome!! And this can be an awesome Weekend Eye makeup...And then you can make it more bold, for a more dramatic look!

What you need:

1)stiff Dome Brush

2)Fluffy Dome Brush

3) Eye Primer

4)Eye shadows-In the colors you want

5)Eyeliner & Mascara/Fake Eyelashes(if you want)

How To do(the way I have it in my pic)...

1) Put a even layer of Primer over your lid, up to the brow bone.

2)Using the Stiff Dome Brush put blue in the inside corner of the lid about 1/4...(Be careful with this color...it can be 'potent')

3) take a light green-lime green...we're using this more as a transaction color between the blue and the yellow...so feather it...make sure to blend the two so there is no line....this is tricky..you don't want to much otherwise you won't have enough room for the rest of the colors.

4) Take a yellow shadow, and put that on the 3/4 section of the lid...make sure there isn't a major line between the yellow & Green. And make sure there is room for the pink!

5)Take a little bit of hot pink (like the blue a little goes a long way) And put this in the outside corner of the eye.

6)Take the Fluffy Dome Brush, and pick up a little bit of brown, and put this on top of the pink...making your crease...

7)with the same brush, take a color close to your skin color that isn't shimmery, and start at the brow bone, and work your way down to blend...so as there isn't a defining crease....

8)Do your eyeliner & Mascara...and enjoy

What You Need:

~A Fine Tooth Comb (if you have flatter hair)

~Bobby Pins

~Cool Headband

~Hair Spray

~Straightener(Bangs) Curling Iron(if you have straight hair.)

Getting Started...

-Put a light spraying of Hair spray through your hair (this is to help keep it in place once set)...and then take a small section at the top of your Crown, and comb (w/in an Inch- Inch 1/2 from roots) downward toward scalp. This will give you height. Then put another LIGHT coating of Hairspray on teased location. (Repeat with other sections of hair until desired fullness)

-loosely Sweep Sections of hair to nape of neck (either directly in back or to one side...I prefer to one side or the other) And loosely arrange them to look 'carefree' Like Taylor Swift has here< (I know its hard to see the back, but you get the idea of the look we're looking for)

- Once hair is in Place, spray with hairspray to make for a lasting 'do' And when that is finished, take you Headband, and Place it right behind where your bangs start.(like Sandra Bullock ^)

- Then Take Straightener or curling iron and do your bangs...You can use either tool, to straighten them...the curling iron will give you more 'bounce' to your bangs, which would look great for this style. And then if you like the strand of hair being out like Sandra...you can lightly curl that as well!

Do one finale 'go over' And enjoy your evening!!!

Red Spots?

Do you have a problem with your pimples leaving a red spot after the go away...whether your pop them or leave them alone? Well I did! And then I went researching, and found a way that works!!! I've only been doing this for about a week, and i already see a HUGE difference!!!!!

Here's How to get rid of your spots...

1) Exfoliate!!! (every time you wash....just use a washcloth going in circular motion.)

2)wash at least 2 times a day!

3)DRINK A LOT OF WATER...it helps flush your system, along with helping prevent more breakout!

It's not that hard, once you start! I Promise!

~Lovely Pink Eyes~

Ok, so I saw this on MakeupGeek.com, and I fell in Love with it. but since I didn't have EVERY color she called for, I experimented...and it was FUN!!! I highly recommend having fun with your eyeshadows, use a color you wouldn't normally use, and just start having fun! If you have a hard time with getting 'ideas' for what to do, check out either my site, A Southern Girl's Beauty Shop, or Makeup Geek (who has tutorials, on how and what to do.)

Step 1: Do your eye concealer, and then do your eyeshadow primer.

Step 2: (this is what I did) I used a medium shade of Pink eyeshadow, and you put that all over your eye lid, up to the crease.

Step 3: I took a 'hot' pink loose eyeshadow, and mixed it with Water, because I didn't have any Eye drops handy, and mix till its not to runny and not to thick...you have to play with it. And put that on the outer 3/4 of the eye lids.

Step 4: Take a blender brush, and take a light pink shadow, and blend the harsh line of the dark pink upward, but not to much, the contrast of the colors, is what makes it cool!

Step 5: take a shadow close to your skin color, and put it on your eyebrow bone, and blend it down to the end of your eyebrows. Take a little bit and put it in the corner of your eye (by your tear duct)

Step 6: Do your eyeliner, and Use a Volumizing Mascara, and since your eyes are so 'Wow' do the rest of your face a more natural look.

Are you trying to figure out what kind of makeup you should use for prom night? Well You can either put together something that goes with you outfit....like that matches its color....or you could get a wonderful dress and do more of a natural look so its not just 'there'! Now I personally love do the Look that Carrie Underwood uses in her 'Just a Dream' Music video....and what that is, is you put white all over your lid up to the crease...then take a dark grey/or black (be careful with black) and do your outer V, and then blend it up/ in your crease. Then if you would like, but on your false eye lashes, and do a heavy black eyeliner, and a voluming Mascara.

Casual Hair Style

Do You want a Hair style for going out in Jeans and a nice shirt? For Shopping or For going to Church? I tried this one out on day, because I didn't feel like Straightening my hair, so it was all wavy and slightly curled...(my natural) and I just started pinning it up...and got this!

Materials Needed:

~Bobby Pins

~Hairspray

~Straightener (for bangs)

~A Head Band (optional)

Step 1: Take your side pieces and pin them in the back of head.

Step 2. take rest of hair and start pinning it every which way...For this one I pinned upward and let some of the hair be loose.

Step 3. Make sure hair is secure...shake head...

Step.4 Spray w/hairspray

Step5. Straighten Bangs, and add head band.

What kind do I use?

That's an interesting question..I've used quite a few...and i've done looking into some of the other ones...

Clean & Clear:

Great Wash...I've used both their regular and their Acne line...Works good for minor acne.

And the great thing is it doesn't cost much!

Acne Free:

Just like Proactive...they say, me personally i've never used proactive. The only complaint about this product was, that I couldn't find replacements to the kits. So I had to stop..But it worked Great (I used the stronger acne formula)

The Wave by: Neutrogena

I've used this one too...It was a nice change to face wash. It kept your hand oils off your face. But in the middle of using it, my face went through another change, and got oilier....so I had to start washing my face 3 times a day, to keep the oil down...Not a good thing to do when you have to buy replacement Pads.

Neutrogena Acne Line:

After the Wave i just switched to their Acne line, w/their gel cleanser...It's cheaper and last longer...Then I use their Acne Moisturize w/ Salicylic Acid (their cleanser has that too) and right now i'm looking for a toner w/ Benzole Peroxide in it...I read that it works best to mix these two b/c they both help different symptoms of Acne.
(Neutrogena came out with a new line called SkinID, but it cost $40 to get your started kit, and it's only online...that's a bummer...but here's the link..At the site, you can do an evaluation, and they will make a kit just for you...if I had the money I would...but I don't so o well...but maybe you can! Check it out!)
A Great thing about Neutrogena is that It has a makeup line as well...so you can get your foundation and things from the same company!

A Great thing about all the Products I listed here(except Acne Free, you'll find at Walgreens) You can Buy them At Walmart!

Homemade Lip exfoliater

Since it's still winter time, Your lips get chapped easily, and an easy way to get that dead skin off, and make your lips soft again...is to exfoliate! and here's an easy homemade lip exfoliater, you can make it 1 batch at a time or you can make a big batch and save it too!

Ingredients: 1 tsp of Sugar, 1/2 tsp of Olive oil

Mix these 2 ingredients together, then get your toothbrush, and dip it into the mixture, and then rub on your lips...once all the dead skin is off....rinse both your lips and your toothbrush very well.

Then add a moisturizer, and you have soft lips again!

But you don't need any lipstick, because after exfoliating your lips, they get darker, so you have a natural Lip color!

You can do this 1-2 times a week!

Swimsuits

Ok everybody, Spring and Summer are soon upon us, and if you need a swimsuit, now's the time to get one, before they are over picked! In this post, I'll show you a couple of different sites where you can get some really cute Swimsuits!

Swimsuit to the right: Is a Vintage 1950's Swimsuit, Isn't it darlin!? I wish I could find on like it! But I've had NO luck(it is not featured on any of the sites listed here today...srry.)

Delia's... This is where I'm getting my new swimsuit, they have a large selection of all kinds, 1 pieces, Tankini's, Bikini's, and you can mix and match them to fit your style. Not only do they have cute Swimwear, but they help you by calculating your measurements, to tell you what you wear in their sizes!

Kohl's... They have everything from Sports swimwear to lounging around the pool, in different styles, and colors!

Sears...Whenever I hear of Sears, The first thing I think of is Appliances...but wait, they have more than that! lol. Now sears has some cute swimsuits, but they also have some cover-ups if you looking for them!

Target...This store is more on the cheaper side for their swimsuits, but like Delia's you can mix and match your swim wear!

Wal-Mart...They can have cute Bikini's for tanning, and they have some Swim Cover-ups!

All the Sites above, also carry a Juniors, and Little Girls section for their Swimwear!

A Different Kind of French Tip

I did these on my friend, Kayla, I can't remember where we got the idea from, but this is how we did it.

Step 1: Remove any Nail Polish on Nails...(If you have no nail polish, still swipe some Remover across nails, to take any oil off.)

Step 2: Pick out Colors.

Step 3: take some tape, and put it diagonally across the nail (about half way)

Step 4: Rub Nail Polish Bottol between Your hands to warm up The Polish.

Step 5: Paint the Side of Nail, Opposite of Tape. Let Dry. (You can use a blow Dryer to speed up the prosses.)

Step 6: Remove Tape slowly. Than, take other Color, and stedilly paint other half of nail. Let Dry completly!

Step 7: When Nails are completly dry, you can do you French Tip. Let Dry

Step 8: Put on your Top Coat and Enjoy!

I saw this Hair style on Cheaper by the Dozen 2 , So I tried it out, and it's super cute! and easy to do!

Step 1: Brush through hair, depending on your activities for the day, spray a light mist of Hair Spray through your hair.

Step 2: Pull your upper hair into a half Pony, secure with a small hair-band...I used the plastic hair rubber-bands, that you can find at Wal-mart.

Step 3: Twist the hair secured, then twist it around the hair-band, while putting bobby pins in along the way. (use bobby pins that match your hair color, so that you are less likely to see them)

Step 4: Pull the rest of your hair into a lower half pony, right below your bun, leave just enough space to twist the hair around.

Step 5: Repeat Step 3.

Step 6: Make sure your hair is secure, you may want to shake your head, to make sure your bobby pins will hold. And then spray your hair with a final Light Misting of Hair Spray,(if it's a more dressy night, Use glitter hair spray to make it sparkle.) Do your bangs, and Enjoy!

~ I have used this hair style for both Church, and an outing to Stone Mountain! It's looks great, and it's super cute! As You can see from the photo, I did it for a more casual look! Let me know how it works out for you!
